Digitizing Travell's Legacy
Janet Travell published three medical textbooks, over one hundred research papers, numerous magazine articles, six decades of lectures, and a series of instructional videos. All pre-computer.
Janet G. Travell, M.D. (1901-1997)
The Janet Travell Foundation’s mission is to preserve Dr. Travell’s legacy to share with the world. Our website, JanetTravell.org, and Substack, JTravell.substack.com, will be the virtual home for Dr. Travell’s medical, scientific, family and personal records.
Many of the original documents were donated to The Gelman Library and are currently accessible by requesting to view the documents in person. Our goal is to work with a team of local researchers to photograph and digitize the most important documents, and build an online library on our website and here on Substack. As documents are scanned, photographed, filmed and digitized, they will be made available here first.
